“His energetic passion and obvious love for music” is what Jim Vilandre, award winning singer/songwriter and producer says when describing this quickly rising artist from the Pacific Northwest.  Dakota Neuman wows audiences with his exceptional vocal range when singing anything from the old classics to the current chart toppers.  His original songs have quickly become some of his most requested at shows. 

  Singing solo on stage since the age of 8, He quickly became a local favorite.  Dakota took up guitar at the age of 11 and dove into songwriting at the age of 12 after the loss of his Grandpa to cancer.  “I basically put my feelings on paper” says Dakota.  “That’s one of the biggest reasons I have always loved Country Music, There’s always a story”

 From the classic sounds of Eddie Arnold’s “Cattle Call” and Roy Orbison’s “Cryin” to the current greats like Garth Brooks and Rascal Flatts, Dakota can sing them all.  After winning  “Washington Nashville Country Star” in 2015 he began surprising audiences with songs from the 50’s and 60’s and including the likes of Elvis’s “Hound Dog” “Only You” by the Platters and most popular request is “Sherry” by Frankie Valli which definitely gives his audiences a taste of his extensive vocal range.  Dakota’s love of our country is always front and center when he is chosen to sing the National Anthem at events and concerts, as well as when he closes each set with a heartfelt patriotic tune, respectfully paying tribute to our Armed Forces.

   After his first trip to Nashville in February 2016 where Dakota was able to play at the world famous “Bluebird Café” it was quickly decided that was where he would go to record.  “I loved the feel of Nashville and the vibe of the music scene"  Since his move to Nashville In October of 2016 Dakota has had the privledge to play many of the local music establishments showcasing his songwriting abilities and was listed on the "writers on the Rise on the Row" by Frisky Frogs. Dakota's first original EP entitled "So It Begins"  was released in May of 2017, and the single "Backgroads" is featured on a playlist on "I am enjoying pursuing this lifelong dream doing the things I love"
